”I’ve been using this product since about late April. (It’s now mid October.) I use it mainly as a hydrator; I have sensitive, combination skin that gets super oily. I need a good moisturizer, especially in the colder months, but can’t use heavy creams because they make my skin greasy and clog my large pores. I tried a popular skincare brand for over a year, but never found a moisturizer that worked for me; they were either way too thick or not moisturizing enough, and even the thick ones still left my skin feeling dehydrated, I think because they weren’t really penetrating the surface. Then I tried Buffet and this is IT! I use it morning and night after cleansing, applying 3 drops to my face and neck. It has a slippery feel and spreads very easily if you’re using enough, but after just a few minutes, it completely sinks in and doesn’t leave any oily or sticky residue. My skin looks radiant and not greasy, which is such a blessing. Even better is the way my skin feels- hydrated, comfortable, and like I’m not wearing anything. (I wish I’d had this 2 years ago when I was going through horrendous breakouts and rashes and couldn’t figure out why. Spoiler: it was DAIRY.) I can use this under makeup with no issues; I usually just use a mineral spf moisturizer under makeup, but if I feel dehydrated, or am wearing a very matte (drying) foundation, I’ll use a little Buffet in the areas where I feel most dry. Sometimes I get little flakes on my forehead near my hairline, but if I use a drop of Buffet before makeup, no flakes. I have tried the Hyalauronic Acid product but did not like the texture which is thicker and much stickier than Buffet. I will keep using Buffet over anything else because it works great for hydration and has extra ingredients which are supposed to be good for skin. I can’t really speak to any anti-aging effects; that’s not why I use this product, but it certainly can’t hurt. ;) My skin feels soft and comfortable, and to me that is well worth the price. I’ve gone through I think three bottles, and just ordered two more. I love this product!”

”Bought this for my mother to get her started on an actual skincare routine. She’s never really taken care of her skin before and needed something to soften her wrinkles, slow the forming of new ones, and just overall give her skin a boost. She’s been using it day and night for about two weeks. The skin on her face and neck is softer, wrinkles look less harsh, and her redness has diminished significantly! She hasn’t had any issues with smell, texture, or anything. Really hoping to see continued progress.”
”To note : It did slightly burn her neck the first few days, caused itching and redness, but that’s gone away. It does leave a slight tacky feeling and some shine (on my oily skin)…but it’s fine for her dry skin, soaks right up. If you have oily skin, be sure this is early in your skincare.”

I just started using this in combination with 2 other products from this brand and I am in love! I can already tell a difference in my skin texture only 7 days later. I apply this thick The Ordinary. “Buffet” serum morning and night after cleansing and I am so satisfied with the results. Not to mention super affordable!

This really is an all in one product. It works so great for puffiness and hydration and dark spots. Yes. It's worth it. I have been using this, the rose hip seed oil and azelaic acids suspension for the past week and noticed a significant improvement in my skin. I have rosacea with break outs and this stuff has totally softened my texture while plumping up the dry, fine lines.

I heard lots of good reviews about the buffet so I had to try it out. Mind you it's inexpensive so why not? Once I applied the product it felt like it was tightening my face, WHICH I LOVED!! Additionally, it made my complexion brighter and evener. I noticed a difference in about 3 days which was a shock cause I didn't change any routine I had except for my skincare routine. However, nothing isn't perfect, it always comes with a flaw. And that was it was sticky. I learned how to apply this product after 3 weeks of using it. So, to summarize in a way, apply 2-3 drops on your face/neck and QUICKLY but GENTLY rub it around your face. It will set quickly so do it fast but don't tug on your skin (the serum will make it so your hands can glide without tugging). And what I do after applying the buffet is to apply a retinol serum (about the same amount). Oh, and it also took away any redness I had prior to applying it :) Try it out, it will blow ur skin away.

HG serum

My new HG serum! I bought not having high expectations despite all the good reviews (I'm a bit jaded after trying so many "miracles" that just left me unimpressed). I've tried and liked a few Ordinary products (their retinol is one of few I can use without flaking or irritation and I'm really digging the "blood mask") but I wasn't expecting such immediate and noticeable results as Buffet gave me. Within the first week of using this remarkable serum, my hydration levels have increased dramatically, my coarse wrinkles in my forehead and undereye have faded, my pores (ALWAYS a source of discontent) look SO much smaller and refined and my skin has stayed clear even through my usual "time of the month" breakout cycle. For under $20, I couldn't BE more impressed. Buffet even soothed my skin on my chin after I got really overzealous with exfoliating and had a rash with peeling, flaking skin that nothing I previously used would touch. I top Buffet with Perricone Essential Fx moisturizer (another HG for me) and my skin looks 8-10 years younger. I do find the serum sticky upon initial application but topping it with moisturizer completely gets rid of that for me. I pray Sephora keeps The Ordinary line and expands to include their foundations (also wonderful products)

I have sensitive acne-prone skin. I tried this on my face and ended up with little whiteheads all over my face. I discontinued use on my face and started to use on my neck instead. I love it! I have genetic neck lines and this is slowly fading the lines. So I just use this serum on my neck and collar bone area.

My mom's favorite

I ordered this for my mom, and she's already on her second bottle! Its cult-fave status among beauty influences is well-deserved. The Ordinary has gotten a bit of flak in the beauty community recently, but they still have amazing products, and this is one of the best. If you're on the fence, this is definitely worth a try.
