Ill go for the Cons first. As someone who is doing a Low carb diet, it is very important that I know the INGREDIENTS used to create food products. Sadly this coconut flour doesn't, so I'm not 100% sure that it doesnt have any hidden sugar. That being said I'll go to the Pro's: I was skeptical when I read "coconut" I didnt want that coconut flavour to be too strong that it'll taste like im eating rice cakes (kakanin). But SURPRISINGLY it didnt have that coconut taste. Also 500g? And the recipe calls for 1/2 a cup Now THATS WORTH IT it's definitely better for those who are on a budget and can't afford almond flour (which has a very little difference). I would definitely recommend and would definitely buy it again.

I am a beginner so...

I baked for the first time in my life. I used this for cookies, together with a bar of dark chocolate. Opening it, you'll really get a whiff of coconut. It can be overwhelming, I think? Or maybe that's because I already love eating latik and drinking buko juice so adding this will flood my senses with coconut haha. Um, unfortunately, I burnt the cookies haha but I swear it tasted good!! It even lasted for weeks.

I bought this because I want to ditch the usual, not-so-healthy all-purpose flour so I used it as coating for fried chicken. It did not make the chicken as crispy as I want it to be and the crumbs of flour mixed with the oil while frying. It also burnt easily so I got greasy, dark cooking pan after. Maybe this is better used for baking.

A good substitute

Me and my mom we’re planning to do the low carb diet. So we we’re advised to avoid any unhealthy sweets or dessert. But I have a sweet tooth. So we tried to bake or cook desserts using low carb ingredients and this. Well, this flour is pretty different from a normal flour we buy at the store. Its sweet and the consistency itself is not taht good

It's my first time trying an alternative flour and I though that it'll probably be just ordinary but I was wrong. The coconut flour taste amazing than regular flour plus its healthier too. Now I can create guilt-free desserts and pastries. So glad that I was able to try it
