Whiter coat and tick-free!
We've tried several brands of dog shampoos for our 2 dogs, but couldn't find anything very compatible that would suit them both. My pom has dry and itchy skin and my shih tzu has a problem with ticks and fleas and dull coat. She's black and white and sometimes the white becomes yellowish, and the shampoos we were using had too strong of a scent which is not good for dogs. It helps to mask their odor, but it was too overpowering. We decided to try Pet Project Organics upon recommendation by our vet. He said he uses it on his dogs too and is very happy with the quality and ingredients. Since it's organic and chemical free, we already know it won't lather or bubble so much (just like human organic shampoo), so that was expected. For the price and size, it's very affordable for an organic shampoo. We bought it in their 3 scents so we could compare. We have been using it for almost 3 months now and WOW! We are so happy with the results. We have noticed the coat of our shih tzu has become brighter, whiter and softer. The scent is sooo nice. It's not overpowering but it smells so good and it lasts almost a week. Our dogs have even stopped sneezing during their baths which they used to do with their previous shampoos. It has softened my pom's skin too and we've noticed it's flaking less. I am the one bathing our dogs and even my hands are not dry after bathing them.. It feels moisturized. And this makes me feel very safe and comfortable using Pet Project Organics shampoos. If it's soft on my hands, I'm confident it's moisturizing on their skin and safe for them. There's also neem and madre de cacao in their ingredients which my vet recommended for them as it's good for bacterial infections and ticks and fleas. We've stopped using the flea and tick drop medication and I'm really happy with this brand and so thrilled we found an affordable organic alternative. For my comparison on the 3 scents: Jasmine in bloom is very fresh and light. Very floral.. Reminds us of freshly washed towels or sheets. We use this and Citrus Breeze the most for our shih tzu. Citrus breeze is more fruity and slightly stronger. So if we know we're going to skip bath day, we'll use the citrus so the scent last for a few more days. Both are happy scents. And it suits our shih tzu's fun personality. Green Tea Spa is very luxurious. It really suits our pom's personality since she loooves to get pampered. It's a more subtle scent but very sophisticated. We hope this review helps your furry family. It's so easy to try human products and see the results for yourselves in a few days and even ask recos from others, but with dogs you have to really wait for results and see their reactions. The fact that our vet uses this on his own dogs makes us feel very safe and we can actually see results on our own dogs which is fantastic! Next time will buy this in the gallon size and will even give to our groomers to use on our babies! :D Would definitely recommend and repurchase! Thanks BeautyMNL for making this available on your site :)
