About Storage & Accessories

Tired of all the clutter at home? Then it’s time to get organized. But before you buy all the storage containers available here on BeautyMNL, it’s best to check out these three tips first: 1. Create a system for your stuff. Getting organized doesn’t mean simply buying storage containers and stuffing your belongings into them. Draw up a plan first. Begin by listing down all the things you do in a specific part of the house or room, such as a dresser. From there, you can extrapolate by creating a list of things you actually need in the area based on what you do. So if it’s your dresser, then only your makeup and skin care products should be on it; not your laptop nor your art supplies. Once you’ve cleared that space of all unnecessary items, it’s only then that you should start getting storage containers for your stuff.

  1. Don’t be afraid to let go. If you have several items lying around the house that you’ve barely used in the past, or cannot see a use for them in the next few months, it’s time to give them away. Got a bunch of items that are awaiting repair? If they’re not fixed by the end of the week, then it’s time to throw them out. And if you still have too much stuff, ask that now-popular question posed by Marie Kondo: “Does it give you joy?” If you cannot answer yes, then it’s time to let go.

  2. Stick to it! Now that you have a system in place, you just have to make sure that you follow it. Return things back to their proper containers and schedule a regular cleanup date every quarter or every year. That said, don’t be afraid to adjust the system every now and then to suit your needs better.
